The turf GvX: what you're looking at

A member wrote last week about the GvX: "Did I miss the explanation on this? I still am not sure what I am looking at." The chart at right shows the GvX at Mosfellsbaer Golf Club in Iceland this spring. The grass is growing at a high GvX value, which means that given the temperatures at that location, the grass is producing a lot of clippings.
