Two terms for two measurements of OM

Soil organic matter. Total organic material. Those are two different terms that can be used to describe two measurements of organic material in the soil. It's useful to differentiate between the two measurements by using different terms to describe them. Many people are testing for both soil organic mattter and for total organic material. Referring to "organic matter" or "organic matter testing" can require further clarification about exactly which type of test has been performed.
