U.S. water use at lowest levels in years

A ray of sunshine in our recent bleak reports on dramatically serious drought in the southwestern U.S. Although the drought seems to have temporarily abated in 2019, water use data shows that American industry, agriculture and homeowners have been reducing water use significantly over the past several years. The USGS tracks a category called "Irrigation", which would include golf courses, and you can see from the graph that irrigation uses of water are lower than they have been since 1960!…
