In arid regions with heavy dependence on irrigation, the end of summer can be the worst time of year for sodium accumulation, and for the damage that it causes.
Sodium delivered in irrigation water can result in turf stress and water infiltration problems. In this video, we provide water quality guidelines and discuss how sodium accumulates during periods of irrigation, and the value of rainfall in reducing soil sodium.
