Wetting agents do not increase green speed

Seven wetting agents were evaluated for their ability to improve green speed and to impact the surface firmness and volumetric water content of Tifeagle greens. None of the products improved green speed nor reported significantly higher or lower volumetric water content compared to the non-treated control plots. None of the products produced significantly higher or lower Spectrum TruFirm firmness ratings compared to the non-treated control plots. Wetting agents are, however, effective at improving root zone moisture distribution.
