Cold weather drought stress reminder

Do not neglect monitoring soil moisture during the winter. The fluctuating cold and warm conditions that affect the transition zone in the winter can cause unexpected drought stress. Low humidity conditions that prevail when temperatures drop combined with a little wind can result in significant evaporation at the soil surface during the winter months.
