When asked in a Twitter poll, 80% of respondents believe that "Nobody knows" if there is a recommended guideline for soil silicon (Si) levels using Mehlich-3 extraction. This is correct, nobody has sufficient data to provide a reliable recommendation for soil Si levels based upon soil testing to promote turfgrass growth and disease suppression.
