Nematode myths

We have written in the past (see this PACE Insights on turf nematodes) about how infrequently we find nematodes associated with turf damage. Though there are a few cases (the sting nematode and the stem gall nematode) where the presence of nematodes almost automatically guarantees severe turf damage, in most other cases, nematodes are rarely the culprit in turf damage, even when they are present in high numbers.
