Photo of the week: a large patch curiosity

I've noticed many times in Japan that large patch (Rhizoctonia solani) is present in the coarse-leaved noshiba (Zoysia japonica) while symptoms are absent or minimal on adjacent fine-leaved korai (Zoysia matrella). Albert Bancroft shared this photo from the Camp Zama Golf Course near Tokyo with that phenomenon in full display. Large patch is obvious in the noshiba and appears to be absent on the adjacent korai.
