Photo of the week: Poa annua at green edge

The golden fairways of dormant zoysiagrass in winter, on the courses that have this grass, are generally kept that way through the use of herbicides. I visited a golf course near Tokyo that had a distinct band of small Poa annua plants in the zoysia that surrounded the creeping bentgrass green.
