Putting green surface layer sand particle sizes

After the organic material is removed from a putting green rootzone sample, the remaining material can be passed through sieves to check the particle size distribution. This chart shows the results from 150 post-burn sieve analyses from OM2 samples from golf course putting greens. These are samples collected from the 0 to 2 cm layer of a putting green. That's 0.8 inches.
