Spring anthracnose

Dr. John Kaminski (@itweetTurf on Twitter) reported the first disease sample of the year at his lab from central Pennsylvania on poa greens after snow melt – anthracnose caused by Colletotrichum cereale. This short video describes the conditions that led to a similar surprising March anthracnose epidemic in the northeast several years ago, and suggests steps for avoiding it in the future.
