The GvX and turfgrass performance

Jason Haines came up with what he called the "turfgrass speedo" a few years ago. We've also called this the growth ratio, but now settle on the term GvX, meaning the growth of the grass versus the expected growth of the grass. This ratio is the actual clipping volume divided by a standard clipping volume. The standard clipping volume is obtained by multiplying 20 mL per square meter by the growth potential (GP).
