Bacterial wilt and bacterial decline

Rcord breaking heat this summer was expected to generate many new cases of bacterial wilt (caused by Xanthomonas on Poa annua greens) and bacterial decline (caused by Acidovorax on bentgrass greens). These two bacterial diseases are difficult to control, but there are several preventive cultural practices that can help decrease damage.
